350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide — measured in parts per million in our atmosphere. 350ppm — it’s the number humanity needs to get back to as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change.

Contraction and Convergence
Contraction & Convergence is the underlying international approach H350 — along with most others — support. Holyrood 350 is advocating unilateral contraction and convergence within Scotland in order to show that this is possible and inspire others to follow our example. See the end of the “H350 In Depth” document for more details.

Petition to the Scottish Parliament

The Scottish Parliament at Holyrood only hosts e-petitions for between 4 to 6 weeks before taking them down and considering them. For this reason we will only place the petition online for people to sign and the Parliament to consider once we have built up a head of steam for this campaign.

If you wish to support this campaign, please leave your email on the ‘Who you are’ contact list, so we can contact you when the petition is up and running to ask you (and to ask you to ask everyone you know!) to sign!

Many thanks.
