As John Riley writes: the great suc­cess of this event “was very much down to the hard work of Keith Baker & Cindy Cour­tillier. Despite the driz­zly rain it was really uplift­ing day”. Led by John and the Samba Band from Big­gar and else­where, about 150 of us marched down the Royal Mile from the City Cham­bers to the Scot­tish Par­lia­ment at Holy­rood, where Keith organ­ised us all into a human-made 350 sign, gave a great talk (despite the wind and rain) about why we are doing this — and much press cov­er­age was made. It was a great event — well done Keith, Cindy and John for organ­is­ing, and well done every­one else who came and played their part in get­ting this mes­sage out there! It’s a great idea for future occa­sions to make sure events are as brief, fun, uplift­ing, and wel­com­ing for fam­i­lies as this one was! This event tied in with over 4,500 actions around the globe on the same day, includ­ing a par­al­lel drum­ming event in Barcelona.
